This position requires an individual who is adept at de-escalating high-risk situations, providing trauma-informed care, and working effectively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the safety and well-being of patients and staff. As an RN in this unit, you will play a critical role in delivering therapeutic interventions, administering medications, and providing constant monitoring of patients who exhibit significant behavioral disturbances. This is a full-time night shift position (7:30PM- 8:00AM) located at New York-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital, rotating weekends and alternating holidays required. Preferred Criteria Certification in Psychiatric Nursing Minimum of 1-2 years of psychiatric nursing experience, preferably in a psychiatric or behavioral health setting. Experience working in an acute psychiatric or inpatient setting is preferred. Experience in crisis management, de-escalation techniques, and managing psychiatric emergencies.
