Job Description The Associate Director of Professional Education Programs provides general project and program oversight for the TEES Professional & Continuing Education initiatives within Texas A&M Engineering Workforce Development. The Associate Director provides operational leadership for the EDGE business unit, leading a team of program managers and program support staff responsible for the execution and delivery of EDGE Professional & Continuing Education (P&CE) programs. The Associate Director is responsible for day-to-day operations of the EDGE business unit and oversees the EDGE production process for P&CE, including initiation, definition, contracting, development, delivery, and control of courses. Program managers execute these activities, with the Associate Director providing guidance, coordination, and removal of operational barriers to ensure successful delivery. Additionally, the Associate Director supports special initiatives identified by the director and collaborates with program specialists and program managers to advance Workforce Development priorities. Responsibilities: Manage functions for the Professional & Continuing Education Program, including complex, highly sensitive and confidential administrative matters in determining work priorities; analyzes and develops administrative operations; monitor budgets for programs and events. Oversee and execute programs related to Professional & Continuing Education (PCE) including maintaining data in the student management systems and other software platforms, engage Center and Departmental Division personnel to facilitate the delivery of PCE activities related to PCE both in College Station and remote locations Oversees and executes programs related to enrollment and delivery of professional and continuing education (PCE) activities, work with researchers and faculty to facilitate short courses. Manages web materials; manages marketing and communications for programs; develops and maintains/distributes programmatic marketing materials. Creates and maintains various databases; maintains program statistics to satisfy metrics. Assist with the preparation of grant proposals related to professional and continuing education programs, including supporting the writing process and helping develop budgets in collaboration with faculty and staff. Supervises program managers and support staff for Professional & Continuing Education programs. This position requires direct engagement with minors and youth during program activities. The employee is expected to fully adhere to all university policies and state regulations pertaining to the safety and protection of minors. Performs related duties as required. What we need: Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent combination of education and experience. Eight years of related experience. What is helpful: Related experience in project and/or program management including related supervisory experience. Conference or event planning and logistics. Market research and marketing strategy. Experience with learning management systems, student management systems, and/or client/customer relationship management systems. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Working knowledge of standard office equipment and personal computers. Working knowledge of spreadsheet, presentation, and word processing software programs. Interpersonal and communication skills and abilities to plan and organize effectively. Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others. Proficient with using MS Office Suite including using Outlook as a tool for tracking/managing Project management training or certified project management professional. Other Requirements: Must be able to travel on occasion (both day and overnight trips).
