Job Description: Zur Unterstützung der Space Systems Division sucht Airbus Defence and Space einen Telecom Chief Engineer for Satellite Constellations (d/m/f) Vorstellung von Rolle, Abteilung, Team und Projekt In dieser strategischen Schlüsselrolle fungieren Sie als technische Speerspitze für die nächste Generation deutscher Satellitenkommunikationsprogramme. Sie leiten das System-Engineering-Team für großangelegte Konstellationsprojekte und gestalten die Architektur über alle Segmente hinweg (Space, Ground, Launch, User). Als Bindeglied zwischen unserem transnationalen Kompetenzzentrum in Toulouse und den nationalen Sicherheits- und Kundeninteressen in Deutschland sichern Sie die technologische Souveränität und Exzellenz zukünftiger LEO-Konstellationen. Deine Aufgaben und Verantwortlichkeiten End-to-End Mission Design: Leitung des E2E-Designs und der Spezifikation von Satellitenkonstellationen über den gesamten Lebenszyklus (Phasen 0/A bis E). Technische Teamleitung: Fachliche Führung des System-Engineering-Teams und Verantwortung für alle Engineering-Deliverables hinsichtlich Qualität, Zeitplan und Kosten. Anforderungsmanagement & Architektur: Übersetzung komplexer Kunden- und RFP-Anforderungen in effiziente Systemarchitekturen sowie Definition der CONOPS (Concept of Operations). Stakeholder-Management: Zentraler technischer Ansprechpartner für industrielle Partner, nationale Behörden und militärische Kunden zur Sicherstellung der finalen Abnahme. Technologie-Roadmap: Identifizierung von Schlüsseltechnologien (RF & Optik) sowie Erstellung von Entwicklungsplänen und Machbarkeitsnachweisen. Erforderliche Kenntnisse und Qualifikationen Langjährige Space-Expertise: Mehr als 8 Jahre Berufserfahrung in der Raumfahrt, davon mindestens 5 Jahre im Systems Engineering (idealerweise in den Phasen B/C/D). Spezialwissen Telecommunication: Fundierte Kenntnisse in RF- und optischen Payloads sowie tiefes Verständnis von LEO-Konstellationen und Datenübertragungsprotokollen. System Lifecycle & Standards: Sicherer Umgang mit ECSS-Standards, Verifikations- und Validierungsstrategien sowie Erfahrung in der Missionssimulation. Governance & Compliance: Erfahrung im Umgang mit militärischen Kunden sowie fundierte Kenntnisse in der Exportkontrolle (ITAR/EAR).
