What We Want We are seeking a skilled and compassionate veterinarian with strong clinical and technical abilities, experience in laboratory animal medicine, and a commitment to supporting high‑quality research. They will be confident providing medical and surgical care across a variety of species, comfortable managing clinical programs, and adept at reviewing and supporting research protocols. The ideal candidate enjoys teaching and mentoring, works collaboratively with multiple teams, and maintains the highest standards of compliance, animal welfare, and professional integrity. ACLAM board certification or eligibility and experience working with agricultural species are strongly preferred. What You Need to Know Salary : Commensurate with education and experience. Other Requirements and Factors: Ability to maintain the security and integrity of critical infrastructure, which may include communications systems, computer networks and systems, cybersecurity systems, electrical grid, hazardous waste treatment system or water treatment system. Works to cover shifts, or take emergency call, on evenings, weekends, and holidays as required. Ability to lift and move heavy objects. No inhibiting allergies to animals, hay, or dust.   Qualifications Required Education and Experience Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine (D.V.M.) from an AVMA accredited school. Three years of related experience in laboratory animal medicine.   Required Licenses and Certifications Licensed DVM in at least one state.   Preferred Qualifications ACLAM board certification/ACLAM board eligibility. Experience with agricultural animals in research or clinical setting   Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Strong clinical and surgical skills, an interest in teaching and training research experience. Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others. Knowledge of Texas A&M University and system rules and policies. Ability to cultivate and maintain professional working relationships.
