Join the Wing Systems Installations team in Filton, where you will support the entire Airbus fleet and pioneer the next generation of eco-efficient flight. You will challenge conventional thinking to optimise wing systems including Fuel, Hydraulics, and Anti-Ice across commercial and military aircraft. HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE TO THE TEAM You will execute stress analyses for Systems Installations using Airbus methods and tools, ensuring the highest safety standards while optimising for weight, cost, and assembly. You will provide end-to-end lifecycle support, from conceptual design and maturity gates to reactive support for production and Aircraft-on-Ground (AOG) issues. You will deliver essential stress outputs, including Stress Dossiers, Airworthiness justifications, trade studies, and test support. You will recommend design improvements and work towards achieving SI Stress Design Organisation Approval (DOA) signature. ABOUT YOU (Must haves) Education: Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering (or a related discipline). Analysis Skills: Proficiency in hand-calculation methods, including Free-Body Diagrams, Force and Moment Diagrams, and Fluid Statics. Technical Tools: Understanding of Finite Element Analysis (FEA) methods and software such as Hyperworks or Nastran.
