The primary role of the HVAC Technician is to tend to any HVAC-related repairs in Charleston Place. While no job description can provide a comprehensive list of job duties, the following is a summary of the major responsibilities for the position. Assist our internal departments’ staff with all service calls, as well as manage the overall upkeep of our commercial facilities. Complete all assigned work orders efficiently and to Resort standards. Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC and Refrigeration equipment to ensure longevity and proper usage. Perform preventive maintenance as scheduled. Perform light plumbing, electrical, and HVAC repairs. Must have an eye for detail in the trade with a focus on refrigeration and HVAC troubleshooting. Must possess good organizational and communication skills. Uphold the core values, policies, and procedures of the hotel. All other duties, as assigned. Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent. HVAC Certified Physical Requirements: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by a colleague to successfully perform the essential functions of this job: Must lift equipment, supplies, etc. of at least 30 pounds. Must resolve problems, handle conflict, and make effective decisions under pressure. The role may require extended time on your feet, especially during peak hotel hours or events. Clear vision is important for reading reports, analyzing data, and overseeing Concierge activities. Good hearing is necessary for effective communication with colleagues, guests, and stakeholders.
