If so, we currently have an exciting opportunity for a Mold Maintenance Technician ! This role is based out of our injection molding facility located in Barrie, ON. Location : 31 Patterson Rd, Barrie, ON L4N 3V9 ( view on google maps! ) Shift Schedule : 12-hour continental day shift; 6:30am – 6:45pm (7 shifts bi-weekly) Primary Responsibilities Prepare mold bases for production by cleaning, inspecting, and performing minor repairs. Conduct incoming inspections on new and transferred molds to ensure readiness and quality. Support the Mold Shop by preparing mold bases and required components. Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date tooling records, files, and documentation. Manage weekly inventory of molds and related components to ensure adequate supply. Adhere to hazardous‑waste tracking and documentation procedures, and safety protocols Perform additional related tasks as required to support efficient mold shop operations. Requirements High school diploma or recognized equivalent. 5 years of experience in a mold shop or mold maintenance environment or similar (automotive, heavy equipment, etc.) Proficiency in mechanical disassembly and reassembly of molds or similar equipment. Familiarity with molds featuring slides, lifters, mechanical pull, and set operations. Experience operating forklift (license preferred) Experience operating overhead cranes (license preferred), jigs, and fixtures. Skilled in the use of hand tools and power tools for maintenance and repair activities Ability to safely lift and handle materials up to 50 lbs (team lift for heavier items). Basic computer skills, including MS Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams. Strong problem‑solving abilities and capability to work independently or collaboratively. Demonstrated reliability, self‑motivation, and ability to manage tasks with minimal supervision.
