Job Description The Role - As a PCB Buyer you will be responsible for purchase of all or a specific portion of productive and/or non-productive materials, supplies, machinery, tooling and/or services. Responsible for actively participating in the development of commodity strategy, sourcing/negotiations, global/regional material budget execution, and collaborate with suppliers or internal partners. The work is of a sophisticated nature involving a considerable amount of initiative, analytical work and judgment. Responsibilities: Responsible for maintaining sourcing pipeline, benchmarking data, strategy presentations, global budget, and on-time metrics  Adhere to corporate and departmental purchasing and accounting practices and procedures  Sourcing and contracting activities that include, but are not limited to:  Sourcing strategy, bid list development & management   Quote analysis and review  Coordination and alignment of RFQ package components, including Terms & Conditions, SOR compliance, technical documentation and quality alignment  Leadership sourcing recommendation and alignment with cross-functional teams  Management of sourcing documentation related to RFQ process in adherence to the GM Audit Services requirements  Support direct material budget activities  Lead/Support supplier relationship management initiatives, including “Strategic Supplier Engagement” and nurture relationship with suppliers by acting as a focal point for commercial issue resolution  Perform change management activities  Lead or represent the purchasing function in supplier KPI reviews  Represent purchasing and support mitigation of supply chain disruptions  Promote GM’s behaviors and values and makes customer-focused decisions  Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications) 2+ years relevant experience in purchasing, supply chain, program/product management, logistics, or product development (any internship or co-op experience will not be considered) High level of capability to work independently Highly proficient oral and written communication skills High level of analytical ability where problems are unusual and complex Interpersonal skills to work effectively with others and ability to collaborate cross-functionally Negotiation skills Ability to prioritize assignments/projects and multi-task within restricted time Capable of interpreting contracts Demonstrated global business skills Ability to travel 5—10%  travel Domestically + Internationally What Can Give You a Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications): Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Finance, related field Cost analysis, or manufacturing experience Automotive industry experience Knowledge of materials management Capable of interpreting market data Able to read blueprints and to understand basic engineering documents Solid knowledge of contract law and its applications regarding purchasing processes Experience with PCB commodities
