ERM is hiring a Consulting PHA Facilitator in Covington, LA for ongoing support of a Key Oil and Gas client. This will be a 6 month limited-term consulting opportunity with potential to be ongoing for the duration of 1 year, renewable.  RESPONSIBILITIES: This role does not directly support PSM programs or specific "element" implementation, PSM/RMP compliance mandates and/or auditing functions. The focus is on the technical engineering aspects of process safety such as: Facilitation of process safety discussions as PHA leader (HAZOP, structured What-If) Preparation for and support of Hazard Identification (HazId) studies, Hazard Identification & Risk Assessment (HIRA) studies, Process Hazard Analyses (PHA), etc. Determination and evaluation of process hazards from process deviations Safety technical consultancy on prevention and protection concepts and technical solutions for production assets and within investment projects (national and international) Close cooperation with production, process technology and engineering REQUIREMENTS: B.S. in Engineering, Science, Process Technology or Chemistry minimum, Professional experience in PHA facilitation in oil and gas (preferably offshore), chemical industry in process safety, production, engineering or notified body (10+ years desired) Knowledge and experience in safety engineering Knowledge of relevant local regulations and industry standards Strong analytical skills, systematic and structured way of working Strong team and communication skills Initiative, sense of responsibility, flexibility Who We Are:   As the largest global pure play sustainability consultancy, we partner with the world’s leading organizations, creating innovative solutions to sustainability challenges and unlocking commercial opportunities that meet the needs of today while preserving opportunity for future generations.     At ERM we know that creating a diverse, equitable and inclusive work environment is an essential part of making our company a great place to build a career.
