Here, you will work with and learn from some of our best caregivers, receive endless support and appreciation, and build a rewarding career with one of the most respected healthcare organizations in the world.     Fairview Hospital Heart Center’s major diagnostic services are centralized in the Rini Cardiac Diagnostic Center where procedures performed use advanced electronic equipment, allowing caregivers to assess the cardiovascular system’s structure and functioning and detect conditions that might require additional testing, medical treatment or surgical intervention. As a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Cardiac Cath Lab, you will provide professional nursing care to patients undergoing cardiac catheterization .        A caregiver in this position works 7:00 am – 5:30pm with on-call requirements.   A caregiver who excels in this role will:    Provide nursing care to patients undergoing diagnostic or therapeutic services to hospitalized patients in various healthcare settings.    Assess patients, complete nursing assessments, document findings in patient records and notify physicians of abnormal findings.    Perform telephone triage and call rotations.    Perform nursing procedures and administer treatments and medications.   Establish care plans in collaboration with patients, families and the health care team.    Coordinate ongoing care, identify discharge needs and facilitate discharge planning.    Evaluate, initiate and maintain standards of care.    Educate patients and families.    Cover other nursing roles in the department.    Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:    Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.    Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse.    Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).    One year of recent experience as an RN.    Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:   Two years of recent experience as an RN.    Our caregivers continue to create the best outcomes for our patients across each of our facilities. Requires standing and walking for extensive periods of time. Requires corrected hearing and vision to normal range. Requires some exposure to communicable disease or bodily fluids. Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.
