You will work with  state-of-the-art  technology and will build a rewarding career with one of the most respected healthcare organizations in the world.             As a Recreational Therapist, you will plan,   organize   and conduct daily therapeutic programs to   facilitate   rehabilitation and enhance the social, cognitive,   physical   and emotional functioning of patients.   This is a fast-paced environment, with each day bringing something new to learn from. In this role, you will be able to directly help the patients in their care while being a part of a   team full of good culture and endless opportunities.       A   PRN   caregiver in this position works  varying   days from 8:00AM – 4:30PM, with the availability to work weekends and nights.     A caregiver who excels in this role will:    Develop   and   provide   recreational therapy treatment programs.   Perform initial and   on-going   assessments of   patient's   condition.   Establish a plan of care   and involve the patient/family according to their capabilities and desires.   Perform therapy interventions   utilizing   recreational therapy techniques and skills as   appropriate for   the age and condition of the patient.   Supervise activities of recreational therapy assistants,   students   and other support personnel.     Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:    Bachelor’s or   Master’s Degree   in Recreational Therapy   Current state licensure as a Registered Recreational Therapist   Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross   Physical Requirements: Ability to maintain balance despite sudden load, in order to support person from falling during gait. Ability to lift and reach with arms sufficiently to lift a person's arms or legs during exercise programs. Requires the ability to sit and be stationary for prolonged periods of time, normal or corrected vision and manual dexterity sufficient to perform work on a personal computer. Requires the ability to travel throughout the hospital system and function in a stressful environment.
