As an HVAC Refrigeration Technician, you will inspect and perform preventive maintenance and repairs on refrigeration systems and associated equipment.   Here ,   you will   join   a team  that’s  focused on delivering world-class care. All the while,  we’ll  provide you with opportunities to keep advancing your career.        A caregiver in this position works  days from 7:30AM – 4:00PM.     A caregiver who excels in this role will:    Regularly inspect, diagnose,   repair   and   perform   preventive maintenance on refrigeration and HVAC systems.   Troubleshoot and repair refrigeration/air conditioning systems and associated equipment to   include:   refrigerators, freezers, walk-in coolers, medical and process chillers, cooling equipment, cryogenic   freezers   and rooftop heating/cooling units.   Troubleshoot and repair electrical/electronic controls, solid-state   microprocessors   and system alarms.   Repair refrigerant leaks and evacuate and adjust refrigerant charges.   Possibly be assigned to work across multiple Cleveland Clinic locations.     Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:   High School Diploma or GED   State of Florida EPA approved certificate for either Type I AND Type II OR Universal refrigerant systems service   Four years of experience as a commercial air conditioning refrigeration technician   Formal vocational classroom study in refrigeration, air conditioning and or air handling may substitute for up to one year experience   Military experience such as Machinists Mate (MM),   Utilitiesman   (UT), Utilities Equipment Repairer (91C), HVAC/R (3E1X1 or similar will be considered   Ability to read electrical schematic diagrams     Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:   Associate Degree in Environmental Technology from an accredited school   Previous   work within a hospital setting   Physical Requirements: Ability to perform work in a stationary position for extended periods Ability to be mobile for extended periods of time Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information Ability to move/transport items weighing up to or more than 100 pounds (lbs.) Ability to move/transport equipment weighing up to or more than 100 pounds (lbs.) Ability to move/transport carts weighing up to or more than 100 pounds (lbs.)
