Centralized data, readily accessible support, and collaboration between the laboratory and ordering provider reduce the time to a patient’s diagnosis and treatment.     This entry-level lab position is   a great opportunity   to learn and grow within the field. We are looking for someone who is eager to learn, dependable, and ready to be part of a collaborative team environment. A positive attitude and willingness to take direction are essential.     A caregiver in this position works   days ,   7 :00 a m— 3 :30 p m w/on-call requirements.      A caregiver who excels in this role will:    Retrieve, sort, track, verify receipt   of   and deliver specimens.    Comply with   safety SOP & regulations.   Perform basic clerical   and   problem-solving   functions.    Maintain   appropriate documentation .    Communicate and document essential information.     Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:    High school diploma or GED     Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:    Six months of   patient care   experience   EPIC experience   Physical Requirements: Manual dexterity to perform specimen handling techniques and to take measurements May require extended periods of standing, walking and/or sitting. Handles and transports bio hazardous materials. Visual acuity, including the ability to distinguish colors. Must have normal or corrected vision. Must be able to lift and/or carry up to 25 pounds.
