At Cleveland Clinic, you will work alongside passionate and dedicated caregivers, receive endless support and appreciation, and build a rewarding career with one of the most respected healthcare organizations in the world .      As an LPN, you will be responsible for rooming patients, administering medication,  v a c c i n e s a n d t e s t s (flu, strep, Covid, urine, etc.), assisting with a nnual physicals and managing the in-baskets. You will float between two family care departments and one endocrinology department.          A caregiver in this position works  9:45AM – 6:15PM with the potential to cover earlier shifts if needed.     A caregiver who excels in this role will:    Provide professional nursing care to patients.    Administer medication.    Maintain complete and accurate documentation in medical records and files.    Complete authorization forms and laboratory requisitions .     Implement pain management assessments and documentation.    Adhere to the National Patient Safety Goals as outlined by JCAHO.    Follow Code Blue protocol.    Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:    Graduate of an accredited LPN program.    Florida Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license.    Basic Life Support (BLS) certification .     Knowledge of infection control practices.    Experience with technology.   Computer literacy.    Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:   Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.    One year of clinical experience.    Our caregivers continue to create the best outcomes for our patients across each of our facilities. Physical Duties: This position requires frequent walking, sitting, and standing. Frequent talking and listening when giving instructions and explanations. Frequent use of the phone; fax machines, and occasional use of the computer. Work is heavy, with constant lifting and moving patients, carrying equipment, supplies, and material up to 50 pounds without help and over 50 pounds with the help of mechanical devices or other personnel. You will be stooping, pushing, and pulling when moving a patient into position for treatment; also you will be reaching, handling, feeling, and manipulation of equipment into position. Working Conditions: The majority of the time employee spends indoors in air-conditioned areas. The potential for exposure to blood and blood-borne pathogens is significant. Clinical exposure to patients requires the use of personal protective equipment. Personal Protective Equipment: This position is high exposure to infectious wastes such as blood and bodily fluids that mandate the wearing of gloves, masks, gowns, and goggles as appropriate.
