This high-acuity unit is known for its strong culture of teamwork, clinical excellence, and supportive leadership. Caregivers consistently highlight the empathetic and approachable Nurse Managers, who set realistic expectations, advocate for their teams, and step in to support staff during high-demand moments. We are seeking someone who excel in time management, critical thinking, and collaboration, and who are motivated to deliver outstanding patient care in a fast-paced surgical setting. A caregiver in this position works day/evening/night/weekend, from 7:00am—7:00pm or 7:00pm—7:00am. Every other weekend and holiday.   A caregiver who excels in this role will: Provide direct nursing care.  Implement and monitor patient care plans.   Monitor, record and communicate patients’ conditions.   Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.   Assess and coordinate patients’ discharge needs.    Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:   Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing (Diploma, ADN or BSN program)  Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)  Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (must be presented upon hire)  *If in a Critical Care area an Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) through American Heart Association (AHA) Certification (must be presented upon hire or within first year of employment)  One year of current acute care RN experience in a hospital setting    Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:  Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)  Physical Requirements: Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patient, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination. Requires standing and walking for extended periods of time. Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range. Requires working under stressful conditions and irregular hours. Exposure to communicable diseases and/or body fluids. Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.
