This position serves as the central communication hub between patients, providers, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure timely, accurate, and clinically appropriate care delivery. This role is primarily desk-based, with a strong focus on telephone and electronic triage using EPIC to manage all patient care actions and documentation. The nurse handles a high volume of MyChart messages, phone encounters, refill requests, staff communications, and pending orders while exercising strong clinical judgment, prioritization, and independent decision-making A caregiver in this position works   M-F| 8:00am—4:30pm or you may work 4-10 hours shifts   7:00am—5:30pm| no holidays or weekends.       A caregiver who excels in this role will:    Provide professional nursing care in an ambulatory setting.    Assess health status, complete nursing assessments, perform telephone   triage,   and   establish   care plans.    Administer   medication   and treatments.    Initiate CPR and other emergency measures.    Notify the physician and/or Licensed Independent Provider (LIP) of abnormal findings.   Assist   with specialized diagnostic procedures, therapeutic   procedures,   and specialized patient care equipment.   Develop, evaluate,   adapt   and document health education and provide it to patients and families.    Cover other nursing roles within the department.    Travel within the region to support physician clinics and surgical procedures, as needed.     Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:    Graduate from an accredited   S chool of   N ursing   (Diploma,ADN or BSN program)   Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)    Basic Life Support (BLS)   C ertification through the American Heart Association (AHA)  or American Red Cross One year   o f recent experience as an RN   OR   LPN, Medical   Assistant   and/or other unlicensed clinical healthcare experience   if applicant is a current Cleveland Clinic caregiver in an ambulatory setting transferring into an RN role but   remaining   in the same current ambulatory C leveland Clinic setting OR   a current Cleveland Clinic caregiver in a clinical role within the same specialty area transferring into an ambulatory area      Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:   Bachelor ’s   of   S cience in   N ursing (BSN)      Physical Requirements: Requires full range of motion, manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination. Requires corrected hearing and vision to normal range. May requires some exposure to communicable diseases or bodily fluids. Light Work - Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly (Constantly: activity or condition exists 2/3 or more of the time) to move objects. Even though the weight lifted may be only a negligible amount, a job should be rated Light Work: (1) when it requires walking or standing to a significant degree; or (2) when it requires sitting most of the time but entails pushing and/or pulling of arm or leg controls; and/or (3) when the job requires working at a production rate pace entailing the constant pushing and/or pulling of materials even though the weight of those materials is negligible.
