The caregiver in this weekender position will have part-time status with eligibility for part-time benefits and PTO, while also receiving full-time tuition reimbursement benefits. This role is ideal for individuals seeking flexibility and improved work-life balance while maintaining their license and/or registration. A caregiver in this position works Saturday and Sunday from 7:00pm—7:00am.    A caregiver who excels in this role will:   Performs general radiology, portable, and fluoroscopic procedures (GIs, GUs, pediatrics, arthrograms, spine center). Produces images of optimal quality for interpretation with accuracy and without delay. Maintains documentation requirements to ensure that all technical data is entered timely and accurately. Notifies management and takes proper action to address equipment malfunctions. Educates patients regarding procedures, equipment and exam to ensure understanding and cooperation. Ensures patients' comfort and safety during and after the exam. Assists with scheduling patient procedures. Monitors and determines priority of patients. Demonstrates the care and operation of Radiology equipment according to technical specifications and applications. Assists Radiologist with fluoroscopic, GU, GI, and pediatric procedures. Knowledgeable in acquiring, archiving, transmitting, and printing images via PACS. When applicable, knowledgeable in after hours transmission of images and appropriate paperwork. Reports immediately any malfunctions to help desk and PACS Administrator. Knowledgeable in billing via RIS. Provides instruction/mentoring to new hires and Radiology students. Continually strives to learn new technical information and skills through attendance of periodic in-service programs and participation in professional affiliation sessions. May be required to rotate through all diagnostic imaging modalities, sites and/or locations. Other duties as assigned. Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:   Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology  Registered Technologist by The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in good standing   Current state licensure as a Radiology Technologist  Basic Life Support (BLS) certification  Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:   One year of experience as a General Radiologic Technologist  Our caregivers continue to create the best outcomes for our patients across each of our facilities.
