Now, the Neurological Institute is expanding with a new state-of-the-art facility which will include additional operating rooms and ambulatory, infusion, imaging, EMG and sleep and brain study services. Come take an active role in the next wave of transformative care, here at Cleveland Clinic.  This RN Ambulatory role is a dynamic, cross-functional position supporting Gamma Knife and Infusion services, including Headache, Multiple Sclerosis, and Ketamine therapies. By providing flexible staffing coverage across these specialty areas, this role strengthens continuity of care and enhances both patient and caregiver satisfaction. Designed for versatility, the RN Ambulatory partners closely with interdisciplinary teams to deliver exceptional, patient-centered care across the entire care journey—from initial greeting through safe discharge. In this highly visible role, you will engage directly with patients, families, and visitors, helping to create a welcoming environment while providing education, guidance, and support. A caregiver in this position works  days| 7:00am - 5:30pm| 4-10s| Home base is at Main Campus w/ Western Region coverage (Fairview, Middleburg Heights, Avon).     A caregiver who excels in this role will:    Provide professional nursing care in an ambulatory setting.    Assess health status, complete nursing assessments, perform telephone   triage,   and   establish   care plans.    Administer   medication   and treatments.    Initiate CPR and other emergency measures.    Notify the physician and/or Licensed Independent Provider (LIP) of abnormal findings.   Assist   with specialized diagnostic procedures, therapeutic   procedures,   and specialized patient care equipment.   Develop, evaluate,   adapt   and document health education and provide it to patients and families.    Cover other nursing roles within the department.    Travel within the region to support physician clinics and surgical procedures, as needed.     Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:    Graduate from an accredited   S chool of   N ursing   (ADN or BSN program)   Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)    Basic Life Support (BLS)   C ertification through the American Heart Association (AHA)   One year   o f recent experience as an RN   OR   LPN, Medical   Assistant   and/or other unlicensed clinical healthcare experience   if applicant is a current Cleveland Clinic caregiver in an ambulatory setting transferring into an RN role but   remaining   in the same current ambulatory C leveland Clinic setting OR   a current Cleveland Clinic caregiver in a clinical role within the same specialty area transferring into an ambulatory area      Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:   Bachelor ’s   of   S cience in   N ursing (BSN)    Physical Requirements: Requires full range of motion, manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination. Requires corrected hearing and vision to normal range. May requires some exposure to communicable diseases or bodily fluids. Light Work - Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly (Constantly: activity or condition exists 2/3 or more of the time) to move objects. Even though the weight lifted may be only a negligible amount, a job should be rated Light Work: (1) when it requires walking or standing to a significant degree; or (2) when it requires sitting most of the time but entails pushing and/or pulling of arm or leg controls; and/or (3) when the job requires working at a production rate pace entailing the constant pushing and/or pulling of materials even though the weight of those materials is negligible.
