Here, you will work alongside a passionate and dedicated team, receive endless support and appreciation, and build a rewarding career with one of the most respected healthcare organizations in the world.       The G91 Pulmonary/Integrated Care Unit at Cleveland Clinic Main Campus is part of Cleveland Clinic Health System’s Respiratory Institute. G91 is a 34-bed unit that serves higher acuity pulmonary step-down patients. Our caregivers are specially trained in the care of the pulmonary patient as well as the general medicine patient. Caregivers on this unit will gain the skill of working with patients on ventilators and will gain additional skills and experience that are transferrable to ICU units.     Ideal Candidate: Someone who communicates effectively with patients and team members, is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, can think critically and problem solve for patients’ best interests. Can provide emotional, spiritual and psychological support to patients, and is a collaborator and flexible to change. Ability to multi-task and prioritize patient care based on acuity     A caregiver in this position works Day/Night Rotation 7:00am-7:30pm or 7:00pm-7:30am. Every other weekend, Every other holiday. This is a PRN role .       A caregiver who excels in this role will:    Provide direct nursing care.   Implement and monitor patient care plans.    Monitor, record and communicate patients’ conditions.    Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.    Assess and coordinate patients’ discharge needs.     Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:    Graduate from an accredited School of Professional Nursing (ADN or BSN program)   Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)   Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross   If in a Critical Care area an Advanced Cardiac Life Support ( ACLS)  through American Heart Association (AHA) Certification must be presented upon hire or within first year of employment   External applicants must have two years recent related nursing experience   Internal applicants with less than two years’ experience but post orientation / 90 day probationary period could be considered with Chief Nursing Officer level review and approval   Successfully pass all prescreen competency assessments   Will consider licensed military RN experience   Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:   Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (BSN)     Our caregivers continue to create the best outcomes for our patients across each of our facilities. Requires standing and walking for extended periods of time. Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range. Requires working under stressful conditions and irregular hours. Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.
