Job Description: Description du poste – Moniteur OBJECTIF DU POSTE : Le moniteur est responsable de la supervision attentive des campeurs qui lui sont assignés, de la gestion des aspects du programme des camps de jour, de la participation et du service dans les ministères au sein de l'organisation pour le développement personnel en tant que mission intégrée intentionnelle. SUPERVISEUR : Coordinateur de programme / SRJ FONCTIONS CARACTÉRISTIQUES DU POSTE : Les moniteurs sont considérés comme des leaders expérimentés; on attend d'eux qu'ils remplissent leur rôle de manière respectueuse et avec tact. Voici une liste générale des tâches liées à ce poste. TÂCHES PRINCIPALES : • Faire du bien-être spirituel et de la sécurité physique des campeurs leur première priorité. • Participer et/ou diriger les activités du camp de jour; • Donner des directives et superviser les enfants assignés en tout temps. • Développer des relations professionnelles avec chaque campeur, en les soutenant, en jouant et en interagissant tout en respectant les normes de TSA en matière d'interactions avec les enfants et les jeunes. • Diriger et/ou aider à diriger une activité facultative du camp (p. ex. bricolage, sports, leçons bibliques, équipe de louange, etc.) • Assurer les dévotions quotidiennes avec l'équipe. • Identifier tout besoin particulier (physique, émotionnel, spirituel) en informer le coordinateur adjoint du programme. • S'assurer que toutes les procédures de sécurité concernant COVID-19 sont respectées. • S'assurer que le contrôle des présences est effectué quotidiennement et qu'il est inscrit sur la feuille de présence. • Entretenir des rapports avec chaque campeur pour découvrir ses intérêts, ses activités préférées, etc.; • En tout temps, veiller à n’oublier aucun campeur sous sa supervision; • Participer à toutes les facettes du ministère du programme d’été; • Participer aux opportunités de développement du leadership (ODL) offertes par DYS (ex. services aux familles de la région de Montréal, le Centre Booth, L’Abri d’espoir) • Connaître la procédure en cas d’incendie; • Prévenir tout dommage à la propriété du camp de jour • Signaler au chef de l’équipe affectée aux programmes toute personne qui endommage volontairement les biens du camp; • Être ponctuel à tous les événements, si possible, en s'assurant que " vos " campeurs sont présents. • Signaler immédiatement tout accident ou toute maladie au Coordinateur du programme. • Après le départ des campeurs, aider le personnel à nettoyer le lieu • À la fin de la saison du camp de jour on peut être demandé d’aider à la fermeture du camp de jour (nettoyage et laisser le bâtiment en bon état • Effectuer d'autres tâches selon les besoins *La personne sélectionnée devra se soumettre à une vérification des antécédents judiciaires. L'embauche est conditionnelle à des résultats satisfaisants.* Secrétaire régional de la jeunesse - QC Job Description – Monitor JOB PURPOSE: The Monitor is responsible for the caring supervision of their assigned campers; running the program aspects of Day Camp, participate and serve in ministries within the organization for personal development as intentional integrated mission. RESPONSIBLE TO: Program Coordinator / AYS CHARACTERISTIC JOB DUTIES: Monitors are considered experienced leaders; it is expected that they perform their roles respectably and with tact. The following is a general list of duties related to this position. MAIN DUTIES: • Hold the spiritual welfare and physical safety of the campers as their priority; • Lead ands/or assist with a camp elective (i.e., craft, sports, Bible lessons, worship team, etc.). • Participate and/or lead Day Camp activities; • Give directions and supervision to assigned children at all times. • Develop professional relationships with each camper, being supportive, playing and interacting while maintaining TSA’s standards for interactions with children and youth. • Maintain a relationship with each camper to find out about their interests, favorite activities, etc • At all times, ensure that no camper under his/her supervision is forgotten. • Participates in all aspects of the day camp program, be flexible and have a good attitude • Report illness or accidents to the Program Coordinator /DYS • Ensure daily devotions with the team. • Identify any special needs (physical, emotional, spiritual); advise the Assistant Program Coordinator. • Ensure all safety procedures concerning COVID-19 are adhered to. • Knous the fire procedure in case of a fire, example responding quick to fire drills • Ensure attendance checks are competed daily and recorded in the attendance sheet. • Participate in all facets of the camping program. • Protect Day Camp property form unnecessary damages • Report the names of any person who willfully damage Day camp property to the Program Coordinator • Participate in leadership development opportunities (LDO) given by DYS (Family services around the Montreal area, Booth center, l’Abri d’espoir and special events); • Be punctual at all events, if possible, ensuring that “your” campers are present. • After campers leave, help staff clean up the area • At the end of the Day Camp season, they may be asked to assist in closing Day Camp (cleaning & leave the building in good order) • Performs other duties as assigned. Compensation: The target hiring range for this position is $16.10 to $19.41 with a maximum of $23.29. Placement in the salary range will be based on factors such as market conditions, internal equity, and candidate experience, skills, and qualifications relevant to the role.
