What you'll do: Maintains, designs, develops and troubleshoots Nonstop Operating system middleware components. - Works with a project team of systems software engineers on core Nonstop operating system and middleware components. - Responsible for all stages of software lifecycle development - Design, development and sustaining of middleware for platforms, including solution design, analysis, coding, testing, and integration. - Reviews and evaluates designs proposals to follow overall systems design, development guidelines and standards. - Provides domain-specific expertise to other project teams in Nonstop. - Provides tangible feedback to improve product quality and mitigate failure risk. - Manages and expands relationships with internal and outsourced development partners on software systems design and development. - Drives innovation and integration of new technologies into projects and activities. - Provides guidance and mentoring to junior team members. What you need to bring: Education and Experience Required: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent. Minimum 6-10 years of work experience in core OS components, Middleware. Knowledge and Skills: Strong in C and C++ Good in core Java Good in Python Good in HPE Nonstop TAL/pTAL Good debugging skills Teamwork Extensive working knowledge and experience in designing and implementing of large-scale systems software and middleware products. Extensive experience working with various software systems design tools and languages. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Knowhow of overall system architecture of products and solutions. Evaluating processes for software systems testing and methodology, including writing and execution of test plans, debugging, and testing scripts and tools Excellent written and verbal communication skills; mastery in English. Ability to effectively communicate product architectures, design proposals and negotiate options with the senior management.
