Job Family Definition: The Cloud Developer builds from the ground up to meet the needs of mission-critical applications, and is always looking for innovative approaches to deliver end-to-end technical solutions to solve customer problems. Brings technical thinking to break down complex data and to engineer new ideas and methods for solving, prototyping, designing, and implementing cloud-based solutions. Collaborates with project managers and development partners to ensure effective and efficient delivery, deployment, operation, monitoring, and support of Cloud engagements. The Cloud Developer provides business value expertise to drive the development of innovative service offerings that enrich HPE's Cloud Services portfolio across multiple systems, platforms, and applications. Management Level Definition: Contributions include applying developed subject matter expertise to solve common and sometimes complex technical problems and recommending alternatives where necessary. Might act as project lead and provide assistance to lower-level professionals. Exercises independent judgment and consults with others to determine best method for accomplishing work and achieving objectives. Candidate is required to have strong hands on experience in Cloud Development areas such as Java, Python, Golang, Spark, Kafka streams applications, Kubernetes/k8 s, Redis, Docker, Elasticsearch/Opensearch, Humio, Grafana and Newrelic.  Require to have good understanding of the Cloud DBs such as Arango, Postgres, Clickhouse and CockroachDb.   The experience in GUI development in Angular, React & GrahphQL will have an added advantage.  Your skills in Networking domain is also an added advantage. What you'll do: You will be developing cloud applications. You will be developing and releasing cloud applications in production environment. You will need AWS, Azure, GPC and/or Private Cloud exposure You will work closely with Product Marketing to understand requirements and translate those into design and implementation. You will need to have a solid grasp of computer science/software engineering concepts, including: Common data structures Standard algorithms Object-oriented design Distributed computing Cloud computing paradigms What you need to bring: You will need a BS or MS level in Computer Science or related fields with 5+ years software development experience You should have experience in working with Agile Methodology. You should have multi-year experience with Python, Golang, and Java You will need knowledge of RDBMS (Postgres) and NoSQL (Cassendra, ElasticSearch, Kairos DB, etc.)  You will need knowledge of Cloud Platform - CoreOS, Kubernetes and Docker containers. You will need experience in designing cloud applications using distributed cache and experience of using Redis, Hazelcast and similar products. You will need experience in distributed streaming platforms like Kafka. You should have the experience to deal with techniques related to ‘scale’ in a cloud environment.
