Lead Embedded Software Engineer  The Lead Embedded Software Engineer will work as a Controls Embedded Software Developer. You may be required to work on one or more products and projects concurrently as agreed with the Engineering Operations Leader and the Software Team Leader. The position holds responsibility for the software design and engineering within the assigned products and projects. Fuel your passion As a Lead Embedded Software Engineer , you will be responsible for: Leading, contributing to and participating in design and code reviews for both products and projects. Writing clean, well-documented code with adherence to best practices and reviewing unit testing and quality assurance to identify and fix bugs. Reporting of project status on a regular basis. Technical input to and review of project plans as required. Troubleshooting system; to have an ability to break down problems and establish which part of a system is the potential cause. To be successful in this role you will: Bachelor or Master’s degree in Engineering or Science based discipline or equivalent knowledge and experience in industry. Proven embedded software experience with specific focus on C/C++, Java SE, Python, Rust, XML. Experience of Distributing systems, utilizing various communications protocols such as MQTT, Modbus RTU, Modbus TCP, CAN Open, Ethernet UDP and TCP. Knowledge of object-oriented design methodology and Java SE applications. Knowledge of cross platform development of C/C++ code for Windows and Realtime Linux based Operating Systems including the maintenance of and debugging of problems and maintaining code quality through best practices and code analysis tools such as LINT or LDRA. Knowledge of IoT System. Have a Deep understanding of S/W methodologies and development processes & ownership of process improvements and quality. Be able to travel internationally, as required. Experience in using analytical tools to aid & enhance product/offering development. Strong inter-personal and communication skills. Knowledge sharing capabilities.
