Join Our Team as a Training and Development Co-op at Johnson Electric! Location: Stratford, ON, Canada (Onsite) Salary Range: $22 per hour Vacancy Type: Co-op Position Schedule: Full-time, Afternoon shift Relocation: Not Applicable Travel: Minimal As our next Training and Development Co-op , you’ll be at the forefront of support in developing, updating and maintaining Standard Work Instructions used to train employees across the Stratford facility. Working under the guidance of subject matter experts, the student will gain valuable hands-on experience in capturing standard work and translate into clear, effective training documentation that supports safety, consistency and operational excellence. Innovation Hubs: Access to state-of-the-art facilities and innovation hubs that foster creativity and development What You’ll Be Doing Under the supervision of the Subject matter experts, the co-op student will: Develop, revise and maintain Standard Work Instructions (SWIs) for Manufacturing, Administrative, and training processes. Work directly with Operators, Supervisors, Engineers, and Subject-matter experts to document standard work and best practices. Observe Job tasks and processes to accurately capture Step-by-Step Instructions. Ensure SWIs align with Safety, quality and compliance requirements. Create and update supporting training materials. Track training completion and support updates within learning management or tracking system. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to training effectiveness and documentation quality. Other duties as assigned. What We’re Looking For Education and/or Experience Currently enrolled in a post-secondary co-op program. Experience (preferred but not required): Previous experience in a manufacturing or quality environment is an asset. Experience creating or updating documentation, work instructions, training materials, or process maps is preferred. Language Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills in English Ability to communicate effectively with employees at all levels of the organization, including shop-floor personnel and leadership Work Environment (including Physical Demands): Combination of office and production floor environments. May require standing, walking, or working near machinery. Production areas can be noisy and subject to varying temperatures. Must follow all Health & Safety guidelines and wear required PPE when on the production floor. Occasional overtime or flexible hours may be required.
