Unit Description The Electrophysiology lab has four dedicated labs on 3 Meijer Heart Center and is part of the Cath EP lab. In the EP lab we care for patients who have cardiac arrythmias.  Our patients receive Pacemakers, Internal Defibrillators, or Ablations to correct their arrythmia.  Nurses are often drawn to the Ep lab who have a love for cardiac and procedural type nursing.  We are a small team of 21 and collaborate with each other and our eight physicians, on a daily basis, to provide excellent care and outcomes for our patients.  Working in the EP lab will give you an in-depth knowledge of the heart.  Nurses will also gain knowledge in administering conscious sedation to our patients to keep them comfortable during their procedure.      About Meijer Heart Center   The heart and vascular systems demand extraordinary care. The RN provides quality patient care under the direction of the Nurse Leader according to Corewell Health policies and procedures and recognizes the impact of nursing care and patient/family partnerships on patient outcomes.
