Corewell Health is offering up to $1,500 as a sign on bonus for this opportunity!   About the unit 3 North is a 27-bed Medical Progressive Care Unit, offering 3:1 or 4:1 nurse to patient ratio, based on patient acuity. This unit is designed to care for the neuro, medical, and surgical patient requiring a higher level of care. This specific patient population may also require frequent assessments and monitoring related to health state. Cardiac and pulse oximetry monitoring is done at bedside with a central monitoring system at the nurse station. Registered Nurses, Nurse Techs, Nursing Assistants, and Ward Secretaries comprise the staffing mix of this fast-paced unit. It is a Level II trauma center and has been recognized for clinical excellence and innovation in the fields of orthopedics, neurosciences, women’s health, heart & vascular, and cancer care.  Scope of work   Assists licensed nursing staff in providing direct patient care and helps in the environmental maintenance of the nursing unit under the direction of the Registered Nurse and within the scope of defined practice. Provides for personal care and safety needs of patients promptly under the supervision of licensed nursing staff including specific procedures and patient testing addressed in the patient plan of care. Maintains an orderly unit environment with sufficient supplies and equipment in order to facilitate staff performance of patient care.
