The Software Design Engineer is responsible for the design and implementation of software for the Windows platform as part of an agile team. This includes development of Windows applications in C# and C++ on the .NET platform, as well as backend and frontend development in TypeScript and Angular . This position reports to the Director of R&D and is part of the R&D Department located in Salzburg and will be an on-site role. In this role, you will have the opportunity to: Develop software for high performance, multi-threaded software products in an Agile-based software development group. Design and develop software for instrumentation products Implement and enhance automated tests as part of software development Actively work with multi-disciplinary teams to help develop requirements and specifications. Work closely with software test team to identify and resolve quality issues throughout development. Understand requirements of a validation compliant design and development environment, required for regulated market customers. The essential requirements of the job include: Minimum of 3 years working in an R&D organization as software developer Experience in C#, Java or similar OO languages Experience with distributed network based software architectures Demonstrated ability to create and troubleshoot complex multithreaded systems Experience in agile software development It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in: Experience in TypeScript and a front end framework such as Angular or React Experience in C or C++ Experience working in a regulated environment Molecular Devices, a Danaher operating company, offers a broad array of comprehensive, competitive benefit programs that add value to our lives. The collective agreement for employees in the electrical and electronics industry applies to the advertised position, the minimum basic salary is € 3.775,27,-- gross per month with willingness to overpay the collective agreement. This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay. Note: No amount of pay is considered to be wages or compensation until such amount is earned, vested, and determinable.
