Job Description Summary The Systems Engineering Project & Process Leader will provide leadership for initiatives with broad scope & high business impact. They will have a demonstrated record of project leadership and process excellence. The role is guided by operating policy. Works with cross functional teams. The role has autonomy within the operational area or a segment within a larger business unit. The role may have a major impact on a small business unit or Family within a Function or P&L. High levels of evaluative judgment and operational acumen are required to achieve outcomes. Job Description Roles and Responsibilities: Provide technical and program management leadership Develop collaborative solutions working across horizontal support organizations Formulate and guide teams toward implementation plans to achieve technical requirements, schedules, and contract commitments. Provide leadership defining test plans that meet program objectives. Provide technical guidance to other personnel and assigned teams, mentor others in the organization. Assure proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned projects and/or tasks consistent with engineering policies and procedures. Monitor and communicate project status, business issues and significant developments Lead or participate in organizational efforts in assigned projects and/or tasks Participate as a presenter or reviewer in technical and program reviews Provide leadership to help focus and integrate new technologies smoothly into NPI programs and production Support proposals Support the teams in modernizing design and systems engineering processes with lean tools. Facilitate and moderate systems processes such as program tech reviews Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited university or college. 5 years of relevant experience in gas turbine engines This role requires the successful candidate to maintain a US Government Security Clearance; prerequisite for a security clearance is U.S. Citizenship. Preference will be given to candidates who currently hold US Government Security Clearance Desired Characteristics Active “Advanced programs” access 10 years of relevant experience in gas turbine engines Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems. Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs. Established project management skills. Strong ability to work in a team environment with demonstrated leadership and customer interface skills. Demonstrated ability to lead by influence Strong interpersonal and leadership skills Strong oral and written communication skills This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. Therefore, employment will be contingent upon the ability to prove that you meet the status of a U.S. Person as one of the following: U.S. lawful permanent resident, U.S. Citizen, have been granted asylee or refugee status (i.e., a protected individual under the Immigration and Naturalization Act, 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)).
