Design and develop image processing algorithms for life science and applied imaging domains (e.g., microscopy, bio‑imaging, laboratory or medical imaging). Translate algorithm concepts into high‑quality, production‑ready implementations (primarily C/C++, or equivalent). Optimize algorithm performance across multiple hardware platforms , including: x86 (desktop / workstation), ARM (embedded systems / SoC) Analyze and improve performance with respect to: Memory access and cache behavior, Multi‑threading and parallel computing, Platform‑specific performance trade‑offs Collaborate closely with system, hardware, and application teams to ensure end‑to‑end performance and robustness. Produce clear technical documentation and contribute to knowledge sharing within the team. There will be opportunities for the incumbent to be attached with Leica overseas R&D center in Germany for joint software development initiatives. Design and develop platform SDK components.
