This internship offers hands-on experience with advanced design automation, AI-powered workflows, and the opportunity to work alongside experienced engineers on real-world projects that impact our next-generation products. What You Can Expect Develop Design Flow Software : Create and enhance software tools for IP design automation workflows Script Development & Maintenance : Write robust, maintainable scripts using Perl, Python, and Makefiles to streamline design processes Cross-Functional Collaboration : Work closely with design engineers, methodology teams, and verification groups to deliver integrated solutions Linux Environment Development : Leverage Linux-based tools and environments to build efficient automation systems AI-Powered Automation : Explore and implement advanced technologies including AI Agents and Skills to automate complex multi-platform workflows Documentation & Testing : Document your work clearly and ensure code quality through testing and peer reviews What We're Looking For Currently pursuing a  Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science , or a related technical field Proficiency in scripting languages : Strong experience with Python and/or Perl Build system knowledge : Hands-on experience with Makefiles and build automation Frontend development skills : Familiarity with JavaScript and modern web technologies Problem-solving mindset : Demonstrated ability to tackle complex technical challenges with creative solutions Team collaboration : Proven ability to work effectively in collaborative, cross-functional team environments Communication skills : Excellent written and verbal communication abilities Preferred Qualifications Experience with Linux/Unix command-line tools and shell scripting Familiarity with version control systems (Git, SVN) Knowledge of EDA tools or semiconductor design flows Interest in AI/ML applications for design automation Previous internship or project experience in software development Expected Base Pay Range (USD) 31 - 61, $ per hour. The successful candidate’s starting base pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location and market conditions. The expected base pay range for this role may be modified based on market conditions.
