End Date Wednesday 11 March 2026 Salary Range £61,344 - £68,160 We support flexible working – click here for more information on flexible working options Flexible Working Options Hybrid Working, Job Share Job Description Summary What you’ll be doing: • Provide expert support to Business areas within Group Payments as below: o Manage compliance readiness obligations, including coordination of activities, data collection, quality assurance of responses, and timely submission of internal and external reports o Maintain effective oversight, ensuring timely reporting and escalation of compliance issues as required. o Provide regular readiness status updates to internal stakeholders (senior management, committees) and external parties (regulators, auditors). o Influence senior stakeholders across Risk, Compliance, Product, and Delivery Labs to gain effective insights. o Design and execute high-quality risk assessments, compliance testing, and gap analyses to monitor adherence to regulatory obligations and internal policies • Lead governance activities for stakeholder meetings, ensuring these are data-driven to enhance decision quality, speed, and transparency across the organisation. • Empower and mentor junior colleagues, actively contributing to a high-performing, engaged, and successful team culture. • Champion automation initiatives, driving both Control and Process Automation within the Group Payments Performance Office and across the wider Group Payments teams. Job Description JOB TITLE: Compliance Readiness Manager SALARY: £61,334 - £68,160 LOCATION: Birmingham WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, at one of office locations above. About this Opportunity   An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Payments Performance Office as a Compliance Readiness Manager. In this pivotal role, you will work closely with the Group Payments business to ensure robust compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies. You will play a key part in monitoring compliance readiness, providing timely updates to senior management and external stakeholders, and driving continuous improvement in our compliance frameworks. Here's where you’ll make a difference Monitor regulatory compliance readiness across Group Payments, ensuring the business is prepared for internal and external reviews Provide regular readiness status updates to internal stakeholders (senior management, committees) and external parties (regulators, auditors) Maintain effective oversight, ensuring timely reporting and escalation of compliance issues as required Lead the delivery of compliance-related initiatives and collaborate with delivery teams to embed best practices. Influence senior stakeholders across Risk, Compliance, Product, and Delivery Labs to gain effective insights Design and execute high-quality risk assessments, compliance testing, and gap analyses to monitor adherence to regulatory obligations and internal policies Prepare governance papers and reports for both internal and external audiences Champion automation and data-driven approaches to control monitoring and reporting.
