Reporting directly to Asia Chief Financial Officer with a matrix reporting to Country President Director, the CFO, Indonesia is a strategic leader in developing, driving, monitoring and evaluating overall financial excellence and sustainable business growth in collaboration with leaders in Indonesia and and with Asia Finance leaders in the region. This role is critical in shaping Sun Life Indonesia’s financial success to become one of the leading international financial services organizations, ensuring that the Indonesia financial strategies align with both the market dynamics and global corporate objectives. Job description (heading) /  Description du poste (titre) Leadership and People Development A member of the Asia Finance Leadership Team and Indonesia Executive Leadership Team, contributing to overall corporate strategy and business planning Provide strategic financial guidance to support business growth across insurance, wealth, and asset management divisions Lead long-term financial planning, capital allocation, and investment strategies Drive value creation through M&A activities, partnerships, and strategic investments Effectively lead Finance team in retaining and hiring top-grade talents Develop and coach team for a high-performing global finance organization Ensure employees are well equipped with relevant tools, skills and knowledge as well as provide adequate support and development  for career advancement, which fosters a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous learning & improvement Promote a high performance and caring  culture, which embraces diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging within finance team and Sun Life Indonesia as a whole. Strategic Financial Management & Reporting Own and maintain robust financial controls and risk management frameworks through accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with IFRS and regulatory requirements Play a key and strategic role in developing, monitoring and evaluating Company’s profitability and tracking financial performance including accounting, treasury, tax, investor relations, and financial planning & analysis by business line and channel. Strategize, develop and implement as well as monitor business plans as well as actively support and participate in any new business initiative. Focus on capital management & ROE, financial path and timeline to growth, scale and returns and expense management. Provide oversight and leadership in the implementation and maintain an effective financial management framework on liquidity, solvency, profitability, and efficiency, while optimizing risk and return. Champion financial best practices within the Company and provide guidance on financial matters to promote sound business management activities and decision-making. Responsible for the success ful monthly, quarterly and annual business and financial reviews and forecasts. Provide data driven insights for investment and growth opportunities. Stakeholder Reporting Be accountable for all Sun Life Indonesia financial reporting, including presenting financial results and strategy to Enterprise Finance Leaders,  the Board of Directors and Board Committees in Indonesia Build and maintain strong relationships with investors, analysts, and rating agencies Collaborate with regulators and co-ordinate with Compliance team for OJK and other required disclosures Partner with business unit leaders to achieve financial objectives Risk & Compliance Manage risk assessment and mitigation for all financial activities Ensure compliance with local regulations and international Monitor and manage financial risks including market, credit, and liquidity risks as the first line of defence Conduct internal financial audits to assess and maintain excellent financial health, as needed Preferred skills (heading) / Compétences particulières (titre ) Strategic thinking with strong business acumen in life insurance industry Exceptional financial and analytical capabilities Outstanding leadership and people development skills with experience and professional track records of strong performance in key executive financial positions. Superior communication and presentation abilities Deep understanding of insurance, capital markets, and regulatory frameworks Proven ability to drive organizational transformation Strong ethical foundation and commitment to corporate governance Qualifications (heading) / Compétences (titre) Qualifications, Requirements, Education & Professional Credentials Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field (required) MBA, CPA, CFA, or equivalent professional designation (strongly preferred) FSA or FCIA designation an asset given insurance industry focus Experience 15+ years of progressive financial leadership experience Minimum 10 years in senior executive roles within financial services, insurance, or asset management Proven track record as CFO or equivalent role in a large, complex, publicly-traded organization International experience and understanding of multiple regulatory environments Experience with IFRS 17 implementation highly valued Good understanding of the Indonesia insurance market Job Category: Finance Posting End Date: 30/04/2026
