Job Description: e-GEOS is a leading international player in the Earth Observation (EO) and Geo-Spatial Information business. We are looking for a Ground Operations engineer based in Matera Space Center to join our team with the following responsibilities: Daily monitoring of the ground segment elements of responsibility to assess health and performances and identify trends and anomalies. Support routine operations of the ground segment by executing operational and maintenance (L1 and L2) procedures and contingency operations requests. Responsible for assessing and resolving anomalies related to activities executed by the Operative Team. Support Operation Coordinator in improving Service by on field-feedback. Support L3 maintenance activities interacting with System Providers. Manage Trouble Ticket System in order to track the support activities. Support the execution of installation, validation, test and operation activities of the operated system. Produces technical documentation to support Operation and Development Teams. Coordinate with internal teams throughout project milestones, actively participating in reviews, generating and discussing RIDs, and following up on resulting actions Skills Experience in anomalies investigation, resolution and report generation . Knowledge in preparation and execution of the system test. Basic knowledge in Satellite Ground segment with experience in operational environment can be a plus. Basic knowledge about programming code (es. Python, C++, Java) Knowledge of database (MySQL, PostgreSQL) Knowledge ok virtualization and container orchestration engine can be a plus (es. Proxmox, VMWare, Kubernetes) English Level: B1 Availability for international/national business trip Education: Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering (STEM education - Telecommunication, Electronic, Aerospace) Seniority: 3 years Seniority: Expert Primary Location: IT - Matera Contract Type: Permanent Hybrid Working: Hybrid
