Scope: The Senior Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and supporting software enhancements and customizations for the Blue Yonder WMS product suite. He/She will also be responsible for ensuring quality releases of the Software Package based on CI/CD agile principles. The engineer will have to align with the Dev Lead/Scrum Lead on all Jira Tasks assigned within the estimates provided. This role requires strong technical expertise, coupled with functional knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS/Logistic), to deliver high-quality solutions that meet customer and business requirements. Our current technical environment: Software: Core Java, PLSQL and Extjs What you’ll do: Understand business objectives and analyze customer requirements to propose effective technical solutions. Should be able to provide effort estimates and create Technical Approach document. Develop, code, and unit test high-quality solutions in accordance with established standards and best practices. Prepare and manage software releases, rollouts, and patches, including release planning, scheduling, and creation of release notes. Provide technical inputs and high-level estimates (HLEs) to support pre-sales activities. Collaborate with customers and project teams to review requirements, specifications, and proposed solutions. Ensure all deliverables, including code and documentation, undergo peer reviews and follow up to ensure feedback is addressed. Perform risk assessments, prepare quotes, and define high-level functional and technical approaches for new software changes based on alignment with Dev Lead. Investigate, triage, and resolve defects and issues, providing code fixes and unit testing in compliance with defined SLAs. Provide on-site or remote support for go-live activities, dry runs, testing, and other deployment-related needs and work during customer time zones. Coordinate and deliver product or solution demonstrations to clients. What we are looking for: Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science or Engineering or other relevant disciplines (MCA, MSc in Computer Science etc.) Total Experience – 5 yrs to 7.5 yrs Experience with Java, Ext JS, Java Script, PL SQL Prior experience with Blue Yonder / JDA / RedPrairie WMS or other WMS platforms is an added advantage. Experience in test management and test execution. Familiarity with Agile development methodologies. Use of AI Tools like Cursor AI, Replit AI, GitHub copilot for Development, code re-factoring and unit testing In-depth knowledge of software development best practices, build processes, IDEs, and database tools (e.g., SQL Developer, SQL Management Studio). Strong experience with source code control systems such as GitHub, Jenkins. Proficiency in working with Windows, Linux, and Unix operating systems, including command-line usage. Working knowledge of JIRA for issue and project tracking. Ability to evaluate competing solutions and make informed decisions to achieve optimal outcomes. Willingness to take ownership of end-to-end project delivery and provide technical guidance to assigned engineers. Confidence in making suggestions and recommendations for continuous improvement. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build strong professional relationships. Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and ensure seamless information flow. Proactively seeks assistance and feedback when appropriate to improve outcomes.
