Scope: Takes full ownership of backend services from design through production operation and user support. Drives a strong DevOps and operational mindset, ensuring services are reliable, observable, secure, and cost-effective. Balances feature delivery with service stability, maintainability, and long-term quality. Understands the impact of owned services on dependent teams, platforms, and end users. What you’ll do: Design, build, deploy, and operate production backend services end to end. Own availability, performance, security, and operational health of services. Improve observability, automation, and resilience to reduce operational overhead. Respond to incidents, perform root-cause analysis, and implement long-term improvements. Engage with users and stakeholders, communicate clearly during incidents and changes, and incorporate feedback into service improvements. What we are looking for: 7 to 10 years of overall software engineering experience. Senior or lead software engineer with strong backend ownership mindset. Strong NestJS and TypeScript backend experience, with emphasis on clean, maintainable code. Solid understanding of MongoDB fundamentals, including data modeling and query optimization. Strong focus on clean code, testing practices, and code quality standards. Demonstrated ownership of production systems, including reliability and operational responsibility. Hands-on experience delivering and supporting backend services in production environments. Nice to have experience with Azure cloud services, including Logic Apps and CI/CD pipelines.
