Job Details: Shift: 1st Schedule: Must be able to work a monthly rotating schedule between the hours of 6:00 AM - 5:00 PM (flex as needed) Monday-Friday, including overtime & weekends (Most Saturday & Occasional Sunday). Pay Rate: $25.30. This position is eligible for overtime pay and is paid weekly.              SUMMARY: This role is responsible for conducting physical and visual inspections of products and plant systems, accurately documenting results, and taking corrective actions when issues arise (such as adjusting processes or isolating non‑conforming product). It also oversees sanitation practices, ensuring equipment is cleaned properly. The position requires precision in following work instructions, maintaining ISO process‑control records, and complying with all quality and safety standards. Work involves handling beef, poultry, pork, and potential allergen-containing ingredients. All team members share responsibility for both personal safety and food safety. The Food Safety and Quality Assurance (FSQA) Technician position is responsible for: •           Performing physical and visual inspections of product, equipment, and plant systems then documenting, and calculating results accurately •           Taking corrective action when necessary (alert appropriate personnel to adjust process; identify, segregate, & isolate non-conforming product) and report results to management.  •           Review daily FSQA records for accuracy, completeness, and conformance to established requirements. •           Investigate all issues where nonconformance's are identified on their shift and verify that all non-conforming product is properly isolated, identified and placed on Hold. Identify and address the cause of the problem. •           Inform FSQA management of all Quality & Food Safety issues which were identified on their shift in a timely manner. •           Inspect product to determine compliance with order specifications, company's quality control system for compliance with legal requirements, and shipping and packing facilities for conformity to specified standards. •           Understand responsibilities and performs all duties in accordance to USDA, company policy, and established procedures. •           Any additional assignments requested. •           All team members are responsible for safety. This includes but is not limited to personal safety and food safety. REQUIREMENTS: Education: High School diploma or equivalent preferred. Experience: 1+ year experience of related food manufacturing industry OR related Food Safety & Quality Assurance type experience. Computer Skills: Strong computer skills. General knowledge of Windows Microsoft Office Applications. Must be proficient in computer data entry and analysis, email communication, and understanding file management. Communication Skills: Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to communicate effectively with management. Special Skills: Must possess skills to complete Tyson paperwork; ability to lead by example and motivate the hourly workforce; good problem identification and problem-solving skills; math and organizational skills; ability to read and interpret product specifications; must function well under stress; must have flexibility to work where and when needed. Training Programs: The training needs for this job classification have been assessed by the appropriate management team member. The amount and level of training required are dependent on the level of responsibility authorized to team members assigned with this job classification. Aside from the minimum required training, training programs may vary from team member to team member. Difficulty of Duties: Work activities are well defined with clearly stated directions or guidelines. Most work steps are clearly prescribed and cannot be modified. Most work duties require repetitive operations. Physical Requirements: •           Position involves heavy lifting (70 lbs. or more). •           Ability to stand on hard surface for up to 12 hours per day •           Must work in cold/hot temperatures •           Must be able to work in wet environment •           Repetitive bending, reaching, squatting, gripping, pushing and pulling •           Must be able to reach high and low levels, frequently •           Ability to climb step ladders and or stairs •           Must be able to work overtime and weekends •           Position will require Lock Out Tag Out certification Position Specific Requirements: •           Internal applicants should either upload a resume to their application on Workday OR complete their application fully showing current and past work experience OR make sure their Career Profile in Workday is up to date and complete. •           Must reside in the United States to be considered. •           Sponsorship is not available for this position.
