Zentiva is looking for an experienced Production Packaging Head to take ownership of one of the most critical areas of our manufacturing operations – solids packaging. This is a senior leadership role with real influence on production performance, people development, and strategic site decisions in a highly regulated GMP environment. In this role, you will lead end-to-end packaging operations, ensuring high-quality, efficient, and timely production while continuously improving processes and developing your team. You will work closely with Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering, and other key stakeholders, playing an important role in shaping the future of the site and supporting Zentiva’s long-term growth. Your impact As Production Packaging Head, you will create the conditions for operational excellence - optimizing productivity, cost efficiency, and technological development while maintaining the highest standards of GMP, HSE, and Zentiva quality requirements. You will be a key decision-maker, contributing to investment planning, new equipment installations, and continuous improvement initiatives across the site. Key responsibilities You will lead the Solids Packaging Department, motivating and developing your team to deliver high-quality pharmaceutical products on time and in full compliance with GMP, HSE, and internal standards. You will prepare and manage departmental budgets and forecasts, monitor financial performance, and ensure resources are available to meet production needs. A major part of the role is people leadership - selecting, coaching, and developing team members, defining roles and responsibilities, and building a highly skilled, engaged, and performance-driven team. You will also establish, improve, and standardize packaging processes, support new equipment installations, and represent the Packaging Department in cross-functional projects. You will ensure full compliance with legal, health, safety, and environmental requirements, actively managing risks and supporting ESMS policies. As the GMP owner for the department, you will take responsibility for compliance and contribute to the ongoing development of the GMP system at the production site. What we are looking for University degree in natural sciences, pharmacy, chemistry, technical fields, or economics and management, along with at least 5 years of managerial experience in pharmaceutical production. Strong understanding of GMP and HSE legislation, are comfortable working with budgets and performance indicators, and are confident using standard IT tools. Communicate effectively in English and Czech at an upper-intermediate level, and you combine strong leadership skills with a hands-on, pragmatic approach.
