We are currently looking for an Assistant Project Manager based in our Boston, MA office. In this role, you will be a member of our rapidly growing Program & Project Management team. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Assist the project management team with various parts of the project such as constructability review, value engineering, pay app reviews, schedule development, FF&E program development and execution.  Assist in formulating the design, bid, and project phase of scheduling.  Assist in the Addenda and Bid process.  Under supervision of Project Manager, conduct pre-bid and job start meetings.  Monitor contract compliance and report concerns to Project Manager.  Under the supervision of Project Manager, facilitate job site meetings and prepare meeting minutes.  Oversee approvals from applicable government agencies are received and documented.  Under supervision of Project Manager, conduct close out activities and assist with building occupancy.  Prepares field reporting for review by Project Manager.  Perform QA/QC process.  Review change orders for completeness and conformance to company and client standards.  Review RFIs/Submittals for completeness before distribution to design team.  Provide basic CPM scheduling and budget management.  Review and maintain As Built drawings. Other duties as assigned. Attendance at work during normal business hours. Knowledge & Skills Required: Utilize effective written and oral communication skills.  Ability to communicate with various stakeholders, internal and external to the company.  Demonstrate an understanding of how project documentation impacts the project flow.  Ability to read blueprints.  Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and work efficiently.  Demonstrate sound judgement and logical decision-making skills.  Understand how your role contributes to the organization's goals.  Deliver quality work product by role modeling organizational core values.  Hold self accountable to individual and team goals.  Consistently communicate and collaborate with team members and clients.  Build relationships with peers, leaders, and clients.  Proactively participate in self-development to continually enhance current skills and build new skills required to excel at current role and prepare for career progression.  Ability to perform at high levels in a fast paced, ever-changing work environment.  Rely on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.  Preferred Education and Experience: Education: BS in Construction Management, Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Architecture, or related field. Experience: 3+ years of experience in Project Management, engineering, or construction management. Experience in construction project management working on life sciences, commercial interiors and/or hospitality projects is required. Firm knowledge and understanding of construction methods, materials and sequences, and architectural/construction drawings and specifications. Requires excellent oral and written communication skills, as well as business presentation skills. The ability to effectively interface with all levels of management and staff across organizational lines, including other client business units. Ranges are determined based on the position, geography, client and industry experience and level, and represent a good faith effort to provide a fair and equitable salary. This range reflects base salary only, and not the total compensation package. Cumming Group reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted range, depending on a candidate’s experience, skills, and qualifications, including client requirements.
