About the Role We are seeking a highly skilled Automation Testing Engineer with strong hands-on experience in automation tools and frameworks. The ideal candidate should have proficiency in Selenium, Java, and test automation practices, with a solid understanding of API testing, database testing, and Agile methodologies. The role focuses on designing, developing, and executing automation scripts to ensure high-quality software delivery. Key Responsibilities 1. Automation Development & Execution Design, develop, and maintain automation test scripts using Selenium WebDriver and Java. Perform functional, regression, API, and database testing to validate application quality. Identify, document, and track software defects; collaborate with development teams for resolution. Execute automated test cases, analyze results, and report on test coverage and quality metrics. 2. Test Planning & Collaboration Review test cases, provide feedback, and continuously improve automation frameworks. Collaborate with QA, Development, and Product teams to ensure testing aligns with release schedules. Participate in Agile sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives for continuous process improvement. 3. Tooling & Process Enhancement Integrate automation with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps. Utilize AI-assisted tools like Copilot for coding and testing efficiencies. Follow best practices for automation, including code reviews, reusable scripts, and maintainability. Required Skills & Experience Core Technical Skills Strong hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver (Java) . Proficiency in SQL queries for backend and database testing. Knowledge of Cucumber , Gherkin syntax, and BDD practices. Experience with test automation frameworks such as TestNG and JUnit. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps). Additional Skills & Qualifications Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in automation testing. Prior experience with Selenium, Java, SQL, Cucumber, and BDD frameworks. Exposure to AI-assisted coding/testing tools like Copilot. Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies. Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and communication skills. Day-to-Day Activities Write, maintain, and execute automated test cases. Troubleshoot and debug automation scripts to troubleshoot issues. Review and improve test cases and automation frameworks. Participate actively in sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives. Qualification Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field. Soft Skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively in a team environment. Strong attention to detail and task prioritization skills. Proactive, solution-oriented mindset for continuous improvement.
