Role Summary The Platform Engineer will work within the SRE team to build, enhance, and support enterprise-grade monitoring, observability, and automation platforms. The engineer will collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure platform reliability, scalability, and integration with key IT operations tools. Key Responsibilities Build and maintain infrastructure components supporting monitoring and observability platforms ( Grafana, Prometheus, Splunk, Dynatrace, OpsRamp, SolarWinds). Deploy, maintain, and troubleshoot containerized workloads on OpenShift. Develop and maintain automation scripts for deployments, configuration, and data pipelines. Integrate observability platforms with ITSM tools such as ServiceNow. Implement dashboards, alerting rules, and performance metrics following SRE best practices. Troubleshoot platform issues, performance bottlenecks, and integration failures. Collaborate with SRE, application teams, and TOC for operational excellence. Ensure platform security, compliance, and adherence to governance policies. Support CI/CD pipelines and Git-based workflows. Mandatory Skills Strong experience in Linux, networking fundamentals, and cloud concepts. Hands-on with observability tools: Grafana , Prometheus , Splunk , Dynatrace , OpsRamp , SolarWinds . Expertise in scripting (Python, Shell, PowerShell). Strong understanding of MELT: Metrics, Events, Logs & Traces. Experience with containers & orchestration: OpenShift , Docker. Knowledge of SLI/SLO/Error Budgets and core SRE practices. Strong hands-on with at least 2 major observability tools Good-to-Have Skills Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/Ansible). API integration experience. Knowledge of automation tools (Power Automate, Jenkins, Git).
