Mercy Health seeks people that are committed to our values of compassion, human dignity, integrity, service and stewardship to create an environment where associates want to work and help communities thrive.     Psychoeducation Specialist – St. Charles Hospital     Job Summary:   The Psychoeducation Specialist provides direct patient care under the supervision of a designated healthcare professional in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations, and within policies, procedures, and guidelines of Bon Secours Mercy Health (BSMH).       Essential Functions:   Facilitates individual and/or support groups (within Psychoeducation scope) and may participate in family meetings and treatment team meetings.    Provides community resource knowledge and handles coordination of related activities.    May provide 1:1 patient safety companion service as needed, and patient checks as assigned.   Care planning and discharge planning in collaboration with Social Worker team.    Participates in continued education and in-service training.        This document is not an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, skills, duties, requirements, or working conditions associated with the job. Employees may be required to perform other job-related duties as required by their supervisor, subject to reasonable accommodation.       Education:   Bachelors degree in Occupational Therapy, Recreational Therapy, or Expressive Therapy (Music, Dance/Movement), Counseling, or Human Services (required)       Licensing & Certifications:   Must be licensed, certified, or registered as appropriate by state and national licensing boards in one of the following: (required)   Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS)   Registered Art Therapist (ATR)   Provisional Registered Art Therapist (ATR-P) Board Certified Art Therapist (ATR-BC)   Music Therapist-Board Certified (MT-BC)   Registered Dance/Movement Therapist (R-DMT)   Occupational Therapist Licensed (OTR/L)       Experience:   1 year of experience in social services or human services setting (required)   Mercy Health is an equal opportunity employer.
