Role Summary: The On-Site Application Engineer COOP is to provide support to End-User Aftermarket Applicat i on Engineering team and local Sale s Engineers in va r ious business activities related to mechanical s e als, seal support systems, and pumps. T he a c tivities include but not limited to working with others to support completion of equipment surveys and data acquisition for rotating equipment at c ustomer f acilities, complet i ng as found condition reports on failed co m ponents, researching applicat i on specific informat i on, and supporting key initiatives as designated by the local management.  Full Time, in-person role in Pasadena, TX. Monday through Friday 8am-5pm for a sophomore or Junior student. Beginning Early May 2026 to December 2026. Role will require the student to take the Fall semester off of classes. Responsibilities: Will suppor t the equipment survey process and Flo w star.net pr o gram  Will suppor t inventory su r vey and consolidation efforts  Will suppor t daily advan c ements toward the agr e ed upon as set for t h by the Engineering Manager  Will examine failed products, providing both written and oral explanat i ons to the r esponsible Flowserve personne l   Deve l op and acquire basic knowledge of pump and mechanical seal fundamentals to support Flowserve activities.  Deve l op and m ainta i n working relation s hip with Application Eng i neers, Sales Engineers, R egional  Reliability Eng i neer, and Engineering Manager  Attend and support meetings a s designated by management.  Will suppor t key initiatives supporting the local Flow s erve Quick Response Center.     Required: BS in Engineering enrol l ment in good stand i ng at an accredited university.  Good communication skills and computer skills.  Knowledge of Microsoft programs a must.  Demon s trates m echanical aptitude.  Ability to or g anize and pr i oritize responsibilities in a self-directed environment.  Ability t o learn quickly and de v elop good t r oub l e shooting skills.  Strong w ork ethic with positive attitude.  Reliab l e tran s portation  Ability to travel oc c asionally to suppor t needs with i n the Gulf Coast Reg i on.  Preferred: Ability to utilize measuring equipment (ie. d i al calipe r s, micrometers, etc.) a plus  Benefits Starting from Day 1: Medical, Dental & Vision Insurance (including FSA and HSA options) Life Insurance + Supplemental Life, Child, Spousal, and AD&D Insurance Short- and Long-Term Disability Retirement Planning, 401(k) plan, & Financial Wellness Resources Educational Assistance Program Time Off Policies (including sick leave, parental leave, and paid vacation) Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on job classification.
