Role Summary: The Application Engineer is part of the Commercial Operations team based in Brazil, tasked with supporting the workload of the Sales and Commercial Operations team at Flowserve Aftermarket. In this role, they will develop solutions for customers and partners for industrial and specialty applications, including seal and system selection, technical question response, participation in technical review meetings, and pre-order meetings. Responsibilities: Prepare quotes for seals and systems based on RFQs within the requested client timeframe. Interpret technical sheets, specifications, warranties, delivery times, and commercial conditions. Develop and maintain product standards, including price lists. Support the Sales Engineer in creating forecasts and achieving booking targets. Interact with manufacturing hubs (Kalamazoo, Dortmund, and Tlaxcala) for special orders and backlog information. Review purchase order contracts, ensuring order entry in accordance with the Sales Approval Policy. Utilize corporate tools such as FAEP, Customer Connect, EIS, CRM, and autoSAP to support the quoting process. Conduct technical customer visits, when necessary, to strengthen relationships and application understanding. Responsible for clarifying incomplete or incorrect PO information with the customer. Continuously develop technical knowledge of products, applications, mechanical seals, and auxiliary systems. And any other assigned functions. Requirements: Bachelor's or Engineering degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electronics, or related field with 3-5 years of relevant experience. Knowledge of mechanical seals (required). Previous industry experience in pumps, rotating equipment, or similar systems (preferred but flexible). Advanced English (required) for client and international team interaction. Microsoft Office and SAP skills. Analytical, organized, self-directed, and customer-focused personality. Preferred Experience / Skills: Knowledge of auxiliary sealing systems. Prior experience in positions such as: Application Engineer, Sales Engineer, Product Engineer (design), or Industrial Engineer with a focus on rotating equipment. Resident in the São Caetano/ABC region (preferred), as the position is 100% on-site. Intermediate/advanced Spanish as a competitive differentiator.
