Job Description: Job Title: Quality Engineering Governance - Analyst Location: Pune, India Corporate Title: AVP Role Description We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Vice President, Quality Engineering Governance - Analyst, to join our Corporate Bank technology team in Pune. This individual contributor role will be instrumental in supporting the definition, implementation, and governance of enterprise-wide quality engineering standards. You will play a key part in ensuring consistent, scalable, and measurable quality practices within our Agile and DevOps environments, supporting various tribes and squads. You will work closely with the Quality Engineering Lead and other stakeholders to embed quality by design, contribute to accelerating delivery, reduce operational risk, and enable predictable outcomes. This role requires a foundational understanding of quality engineering principles, a keen eye for governance, and the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse technology teams. Support the definition and enforcement of enterprise quality standards, policies, and control frameworks. Help establish and maintain a federated quality governance model across tribes and squads. Assist in embedding regulatory, risk, and compliance requirements into testing strategies. Contribute to driving accountability for quality outcomes across delivery teams. Agile & DevOps Enablement Support Support the adoption of Agile, SAFe, and DevOps across banking programs. Assist in embedding quality engineering practices into Agile ceremonies and the delivery lifecycle. Monitor CI/CD pipelines to ensure quality gates, test automation, and risk controls are enforced. Support the enablement of shift-left and shift-right testing practices across the SDLC. Testing Strategy & Execution Oversight Support Assist in defining enterprise testing strategies for functional & regression, API & integration, performance & resilience, and security & non-functional testing. Support the governance of automation strategy across UI, API, data, and service layers. Help ensure reuse of frameworks, test assets, and best-in-class tooling. Metrics, Dashboards & Reporting Support Assist in defining and tracking quality and delivery metrics across squads and tribes. Contribute to establishing and maintaining executive-level dashboards using tools like Power BI or Tableau. Support the tracking and analysis of DORA metrics, Flow metrics, test effectiveness, defect leakage, automation coverage, and release readiness. Help prepare actionable insights for senior leadership. Continuous Improvement & Capability Building Support Contribute to continuous improvement through data-driven insights and retrospectives. Assist in identifying systemic quality gaps and implementing corrective actions. Support the promotion of modern testing practices, AI-assisted testing, and intelligent automation. Stakeholder Management & Communication Support Assist in communicating quality governance updates to technology and business leadership. Support efforts to influence stakeholders to adopt standardized quality practices. Collaborate with Risk, Compliance, and Audit teams to ensure audit readiness. Innovation, AI & Tooling Strategy Support Assist in evaluating emerging testing tools, platforms, and AI/ML-driven quality solutions. Support the adoption of AI-enabled test optimization, predictive quality analytics, and intelligent defect analysis. Help ensure tooling strategy supports scalability, cost efficiency, and regulatory compliance. Your skills and experience We're Looking For Someone With Experience: 10-13 years of experience in Quality Engineering/Testing within Banking or Financial Services, with exposure to quality governance practices. Methodologies: Understanding of Agile, SAFe, and DevOps operating models. Technical & Functional Skills: Foundational understanding of testing frameworks and automation strategies; exposure to metrics, dashboards, and analytics (e.g., Power BI, Tableau); familiarity with CI/CD, test automation, and DevOps toolchains; basic understanding of regulatory and risk considerations in Corporate Banking. Hands-on experience in creating and analyzing metrics for large programs (e.g., DORA, Flow, Quality). Basic programming skills (e.g., Python) and good knowledge of databases and ETL processes are mandatory. Communication Skills: Excellent presentation skills. Education: Bachelor’s degree in CS, Information Technology, or a related discipline. Core Objectives Support the establishment of standardized, scalable quality engineering practices.
