Primary Details Time Type: Full time Worker Type: Employee Based in Manila or Cebu and reporting to the Non-Insurance Associate Manager , GSSC finance Operations. This role will have a particular focus on accurate and timely posting of Non-Insurance Accounting (NIA) expense journals, clearing of intercompany variances, and completeness of post month-end reports and reconciliations, as well as responsibility for integrity of underlying financial data in the general ledger Responsibilities: Work Experience: Necessary Work Experience includes:      Preparation of medium complexity BAU journals/ reports/ reconciliations throughout the month.      Preparation of low to medium complexity balance sheet reconciliations.     Investigates own accounts with minimal support of the POCs or team leads     Investigation and clearing of intercompany variances and other account variances.   Processing of other PE activities such as, but not limited to: o   TB downloads o   Revaluations o   Invoice preparation o   Working calculations template o   Fixed asset creation o   System closing o   Other tasks assigned Qualifications: Necessary Qualifications include: Intermediate knowledge of Finance and Accounting principles and practices Working knowledge of  General Accounting function, and other related processes, procedures and solutions Working knowledge of appropriate regulatory and statutory frameworks Preferred intermediate knowledge and awareness of the Insurance industry and QBE's business Sound technical understanding of spreadsheets, data analysis and reconciliation procedures Excellent verbal and written communication skills Excellent Microsoft Office skills Attention to detail Ability to work on a local and global team, as well as collaborate with people at different levels within the organization to accomplish a common goal Ability to organize, manage, prioritize and effectively meet deadlines working on multiple assignments simultaneously Intermediate to advanced problem solving and analytical Skills At least 2-3 years' work experience in a similar role in the finance industry Must be a College graduate, with a relevant degree in Accounting or undefined Preferably with audit, insurance and/or shared services experience CPA is an advantage Skills: Analytical Thinking, Communication, Cost Management, Critical Thinking, Economic Forecasting, Financial Accounting, Financial Data Reporting, Financial Products, Intentional collaboration, Managing performance, Prioritization, Problem Solving, Research Analysis, Risk Management, Working Independently How to Apply: To submit your application, click "Apply" and follow the step by step process.
