Bristol, PA.     In this role, you will share responsibility for the implementation of the emergency services and security (ES&S) management system   in order to   meet business   objectives   and to   maintain   the license to   operate . You will provide hands-on emergency services and security activities for a specific plant. You will also   be required   to have full   proficiency   in a range of technical, operational, or analytical/scientific processes and procedures through job-related training and considerable   on the job   experience to perform a variety of work assignments. At times, you will act as an informal resource for team members with less experience.     Responsibilities / Duties   Maintain professional communication and interpersonal skills while interacting with management, community, and public officials.   Utilize Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and email for reporting and documentation.   Work a 24-hour rotating shift, including holidays, and respond to emergency call-backs in adverse weather.   Perform tasks independently or as part of a team, ensuring compliance with industrial safety rules and practices.   Protect facility from fire and hazards; inspect, test, and   maintain   fire protection systems and safety equipment.   Serve as primary contact for site security officers; manage and de-escalate security issues and liaise with local authorities.   Participate in planning, training, and coordination of emergency response teams and corporate outreach initiatives.   Respond to alarms, medical emergencies, rescues, hazardous materials, fires, and mutual aid calls; prepare incident reports.   Develop and   maintain   emergency plans and pre-incident strategies; assume roles within the National Incident Command System.   Lead emergency response efforts as Shift Chief or Response Team Leader;   establish   unified command during incidents.   Conduct fire/safety training, behavior-based evaluations, and compliance inspections; follow up on corrective actions.   Act as out-of-hours contact for community issues and safety consultations; perform   additional   duties as assigned.   Additional   duties as   required   and expected of Sr. ES&S Technicians     Required Qualifications   High School Diploma,   GED   or equivalent   A minimum of 6 years’ experience with an emergency response organization (fire, emergency medical service, or industrial safety / emergency services).      Must   possess   or be able to obtain   certification as a P ennsylvania   or National Registry EMT   (Emergency Medical Technician)   within first year of hire   FireFighter   II, Hazardous Material Operations, Rope Rescue, EVOC, and NIMS   100, 200 , 700, and 800.   Must have a valid driver’s license for the state in which the candidate   resides .   Must already   possess   or obtain a Commercial Driver’s License within first year of hire   Work a 24-hour rotating shift, including holidays, and respond to emergency call-backs in adverse weather Must   possess   a TWIC card   or   be eligible to obtain a TWIC card. For information on TWIC eligibility requirements, please see:  https://www.tsa.gov/for-industry/twic  (If unable to access link, copy and paste in your browser.)   within 6 months of hire.    A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States.  No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process.     Preferred Qualifications   3 years’ experience in municipal fire inspection, industrial safety, or related field.   IFSAC /   ProBoard   Driver-Operator, Confined Space Rescue, Fire Officer 1, Hazmat Technician, Hazmat IC, Incident Safety Officer, NIMS 300 and 400.    Have knowledge of the UCC (Uniform Construction Code), OSHA 1910 standards, and NFPA standards.    Certification as emergency services instructor in fire, EMS, hazmat and have   demonstrated   ability to conduct training and speak publicly in front of groups.         Your Skills   Communication :    Good   written and verbal communication skills along with strong public speaking skills   Decision Making:   Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make sound decisions amidst regularly shifting priorities.   Multitasking : Must have strong   multi-tasking , problem   solving   and time management skills.   Organizing, Planning, and Prioritizing Work:   The individual should have the ability to   determine   their own day-to-day schedule without   set   guidance   Risk Awareness:   Has the ability to   identify , evaluate, and prioritize the risks and follow up with coordinated and economical application of resources to minimize,   monitor , and mitigate   impact   of unfortunate events.   Safety Awareness:   Safety mindset and willingness to learn.     Physical Demands   Willing and able to meet physical demands of the job, with or without reasonable   accommodations :   Must be able to   lift up   to 50 lbs.   Must be comfortable with moving, climbing, walking, and twisting consistent with a large variety of positions   utilized   to operate equipment and work on the ground and sedentary   type   work from a computer workstation.    Candidate must be clean shaven   Must be able to wear self-contained breathing apparatus   Physically & mentally able to work in stressful environments including, but not limited   to:   confined spaces, low visibility, fully encapsulated PPE, and   extreme   close proximity   to others.   Ability to work comfortably and safely at elevated heights.
