In this role you will be responsible for managing a variety of property damage claims in the Public Liability product area, ensuring all handling aligns with legislative requirements and contributes to achieving team objectives. To be successful in the role, an understanding of Public Liability insurance and experience in managing Public Liability claims is required. Your new role Proactive and efficient end‑to‑end claims management, ensuring accurate completion and validation of all claims. Managing liability claims, including assessment, oversight and progression through the claim’s lifecycle. Interpreting policy coverage and determining applicability, escalating complex or uncertain matters when required. Building and maintaining strong relationships with insureds, brokers, investigators, solicitors and the general public. Ensuring adherence to statutory guidelines, internal standards, privacy requirements and completing self‑audits to support positive audit outcomes. Initiating and completing recoveries from third parties and responding to all enquiries in a timely, accurate, professional and courteous manner. About You Legal qualifications and/or experience managing Public Liability claims. Strong technical capability across property damage and plumbers’ liability portfolios, with sound problem‑solving and decision‑making skills. Experience participating in Informal Settlement Conferences, mediations, trials, and alternative dispute resolution. Demonstrated analytical, negotiation, and dispute resolution capability across diversified claims portfolios. Skilled in interpreting and applying policy wordings, underwriting procedures, investigation reports, and the General Insurance Code of Practice. Strong organisational and time‑management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with lawyers, loss adjusters, consultants, external providers, and clients.
