Primary Details Time Type: Full time Worker Type: Employee AVP - Marine Cargo Underwriting Location: USA –Chicago, Ill Work Arrangement: Hybrid   The salary range for this role is:  $ 158,000-237,500 The purpose of this role is to support the US cargo team in achieving profitable growth by leading underwriting for the region, technical support, and training to develop individuals within the team. This role involves managing complex underwriting cases, contributing to product strategy, and building relationships with intermediaries to drive business growth. The role also includes underwriting new business and renewals within set guidelines and authority levels to meet business objectives.  Your new role: Contribute to the achievement of operational objectives for the underwriting function and/or business unit. Perform underwriting activities following all legal and regulatory requirements to ensure obligations are met. Provide efficient and timely service to brokers and clients. Evaluate risk for new business following standards, to ensure profitable growth. Motivate and develop the team by demonstrating good leadership behaviours and management best practices. Work Experience: Preferred Work Experience includes: Significant underwriting experience. Established customer and broker relationships. Significant production underwriting experience Established customer and broker relationships with a focus on major trading partners. Qualifications: Preferred Qualifications include: Tertiary Degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience Compensation Package: The salary range for this role is provided above. This is the national range for location(s) listed. The salary offer will be decided based on the role's complexity, its location, and the candidate’s professional background, including their education and experience.
