Key Responsibilities: Develop EH&S documents to be implemented into programs, policies, and procedures. Assist in the development, implementation and management of safety training programs, policies, and procedures. Update existing EH&S programs, policies, and procedures. Support emergency preparedness drills and response planning. Conduct PPE and machine guarding compliance audits. Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with OSHA and company standards. Gather data that pertains to the monthly EH&S metrics. Identify hazardous conditions/actions within the plant and develop corrective actions. Create and co-lead EHS training courses as needed. Support emergency preparedness drills and response planning. Perform any other duties established by the site EH&S team. Project Opportunities: The intern will lead or support at least one focused improvement project, which may include: Fall protection implementation project Lockout/Tagout program review Forklift or pedestrian traffic flow analysis Ergonomic assessment initiative Near-miss trend analysis and reporting Safety communication improvement project Assist with gathering data and creating presentations for Capex project submissions Qualifications: Currently pursuing  a degree in Environmental Health and Safety, Occupational Safety and Health, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering & Business,  or related field. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, primarily Excel. Strong organizational skills with proven ability to complete multiple tasks simultaneously. Basic knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and other government regulations. Ability to work in a manufacturing environment and spend time on the production floor. Physical Requirements: Ability to walk the production floor for extended periods. Ability to wear required PPE (steel-toe shoes, safety glasses, etc.) Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, heavy equipment, and temperature variation. Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds. What You’ll Gain: Hands-on experience with OSHA compliance and environmental regulations.
