Role Overview: To evaluate portfolio risks, make credit decisions as per mandate and interacts with other departments regarding credit management strategies. Are you someone who can: Optimize asset growth while minimizing financial risk and bad debts. Identify, control and escalate potential risks which may lead to non-performing loans. Manage costs or expenses within approved budget to achieve cost efficiencies. Deliver against operational and cost targets. Prioritise resource allocation to minimise and reduce wastage. Collaborate closely with relevant business units and business product houses as per strategy to identify revenue opportunities. Resolve customer dissatisfaction/complaints by taking ownership of the problem. Analyse customer feedback to help improve customer service. Ensure that delivery is accurate, timeous and of an acceptable standard. Ensure that product or service knowledge and advice is technically accurate. You will be an ideal candidate if you: Hold a bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Credit, Accounting or any related field. Have 5 or more years’ experience in a credit related environment. Have strong understanding of credit risk principles, financial analysis, and lending practices. Have excellent analytical, loan decision-making, and problem-solving skills. Are proficiency in Microsoft Office, credit systems and risk modelling. Ensure a turnaround time that reflects efficiency, responsiveness and service quality. Can monitor your portfolio and ensure regulatory compliance. Can oversee the lending operations of the department, leading the credit analysts and provide mentorship and training. Have banking or financial Industry experience is an added advantage.
